The host offered a tongue-in-cheek first look at the actress character, Lady Thor on Wednesday, on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and looked relevant a lot like the MCU’s OG Thor, Chris Hemsworth. Was she willing to work out for her new role was asked by DeGeneres. On which she replied that she is assuming that she will have to work out but she is going to wait until they make. Further she also added that she will be eating her burritos till they call her to the gym.

There’s been a lot of speculation over the years about why Thor star Natalie Portman was dropped out of the Marvel Cinematic Universe for a timebeing. Portman opted not to return for director Taika Waititi’s Thor: Ragnarok in 2017 after making some public comments about how she was “done” working with Marvel.

But two years later, Natalie’s character Jane Foster is getting ready to take the hammer herself as Lady Thor against Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson in Waititi’s Thor: Love and Thunder. In a recent chat with Entertainment  Portman finally explained that her reason for missing Thor: Ragnarok was actually story-based rather than any creative disagreement with Marvel Studios.”Obviously, I wasn’t written into it because of where it took place,” she stated that ,her character is on Earthit and it wasn’t really on Earth. Now though, Portman is getting very excited to “wield the hammer” as she goes into battle with Thor and Valkyrie in the next sequel.

Portman recently revealed why she was a no-show in Thor: Ragnarok, which many people thought was down to a feud with Marvel after they fired Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins from Thor: The Dark World.Speaking with ET, she said, “They came to me. Obviously because of where it took place I wasn’t written into the third Thor.

Further they headed to her with fourth idea and said that they had this idea, that was a storyline in some of the comics, where Jane becomes Lady Thor.’ and that was really very exciting for me. Accompanied of course with Taika [Waititi], and I love Tessa [Thompson] and Chris so much.

So it’s exciting to get to work with them again. Thor didn’t really have much reason to see Jane in the last movie And It makes a lot of sense because yeah, i was very excited to weild the hammer, but we’re super keen to see how Jane becomes Mighty Thor in the next film. Portman, meanwhile, is set to appear in the forthcoming Lucy in the Sky, which is inspired by astronaut love triangle which is out in UK cinemas on December 6.
