Apollonia Hannah Hinds realized she loved gaming at the mere age of 4 in the era of CD-ROMs. She continued playing many games like AuditionSEA, League of Legends, GunZ and much more. Now, she plays Fortnite and League of Legends. Apart from gaming, Apollonia loves makeup and food. In fact, she specifies that her love for food is “too much for her own good,” but we can totally relate with that!
Apollonia was born in England, raised in Singapore and is now settled in Mumbai with her significant other. She worked as a caricature artist before she moved to India. She also dabbled with other fields, working as an emcee and a primary school teacher. Most of her free time was spent gaming, partying and freelancing. When she moved to India, she founded GirlaxyIN with ex-member Mogambo and Andromeda (In game names of members).
Now, in Mumbai, she spends her time streaming and creating content for GirlaxyIN – an all girl league of legends team. Previously, Apollonia was the captain of Girlaxy Singapore. She says “I knew quite a number of people from the Indian league of legends scene, which resulted in me meeting some very capable ladies.”
Apollonia has participated in many tournaments and has conducted events with large companies when she was involved with the Singaporean Girlaxy sisters. She hopes that the team in India can also find suitable platforms to display their talent.
Girlaxy India is a huge part of Apollonia’s life and she is always working with the team full-time. They shine light on the members in the Indian League of Legends community. They create gameplay videos to showcase their plays.
“We’d like to share the lifestyle aspect of gaming through Girlaxy’s Adventures. We want to relate with our audience. It’s all about sharing each other’s experiences in gaming. This is what keeps the community growing.”
Apollonia tells us that the team has undergone a major revamp and is doing their best to build up a support base in India. Girlaxy India is also working towards some exciting partnerships so that should be right around the corner!
