Antenatal care: It is a type of preventive health care were pregnant mothers are to register for antenatal care at their nearest health facility, this is a regular check-ups to assure their health progress during pregnancy and timely identify high risk issues affecting their health or their baby’s well-being.
Continuum of Care: The care at the place where it is most needed and the gap in care around the time of birth are given through a continuum of care approach. In which, improving the health and nutrition of pregnant mothers by providing quality maternal and new-born health services for them. They also take care of the family planning, antenatal care during pregnancy, delivery managed by skilled attendants or midwife, access to emergency obstetric and neonatal care when needed, and timely post-natal care for both mothers and newborns.
Reaching Every Mother: Measures to ensure that all delivery should be attended or assisted by a skilled or professional health care provider in a health care facility. It isthe implementation of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) policy that endorses such services.
